The PJ tube prevents side splash and works nicely. I used this sprinkler to test various nozzles over the last few years and it runs great, just throw some thread or Teflon tape on your 3/4 inch pipe if you plan use long term a stand riser; never leaked for me. I attached a nozzle equipped with stream baffle for use in even smaller yards and spaces.
